Anti-Carceral Warm lines

Anti-carceral care refers to the philosophy of providing mental health treatment with informed consent at the forefront, and where providers do not call the police right away when a client is in crisis. As we know, many BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ populations are at greater risk of harm or death when police are involved. As someone who strives to provide anti-carceral care, I believe warm lines, safety planning, and identifying resources and support systems are the key.

Here’s a list of warm-lines that will not call the police without your consent in crisis:
